The Blevins' go Skiing!!

Living up to our "adventurous spirits" and taking advantage of our location, we have decided to conquer a new hobby - downhill skiing!  Today we went to Crystal Mountain (which is a part of Mt. Rainer) and took a beginner's ski lesson.  Our 4 hour lesson was technically a "group" lesson, however was pretty much a private lesson, bonus!!  Our instructor - Rick - was an older man who was very wise and taught us a lot, and made us laugh a lot.  We started off our day as complete novices, and ended our day with the green light from Rick to conquer some intermediate slopes.  Which is a lot better than one of our lesson mates who was still falling at the end of the day!  All in all, it was a wonderful day, and we had an OUTSTANDING time.  This is defintely another hobby for our list.  Megan is trying to post a picture or two, hopefully she can figure it out   ps. Hey Mom - I think I have finially conquered my fear of going downhill fast (thanks to that nasty little scooter accident on Watertower Hill) - the key is staying in control

I am so glad you are recovering well from your childhood. You two look like you had a great time! I am not so sure about going downhill fast - I haven't recovered yet from the sledding in Waterford - and at my age I don't think it's going to happen.
Hope your shopping trip went well today - Did you get some skis of your own??
I'm glad you are taking advantage of all the neat attractions in your area. It always looks so beautiful looking at that huge mountain ENJOY!
    Love it,
