Mom is the new Director of Special Education

Well she did it! Mom is now the new Director of Special Education at Big Spring ISD. Last night the school board voted 7-0 to hire mom for the job. Way to go mom!

It has been a long road. When we moved back to West Texas mom decided to finish her mid-management certification. She already had the Masters degree from becoming a diagnostician. Since she could now go the same university, she only had to take the specific management classes and take the test. She only has three classes to go now. Dad and mom went to Abilene last month to take certification tests. Mom's was the principalship (mid-management) certification test. She did great and passed.

In the mean-time, her boss took another job with a different district and his job opened up. We all encouraged her to apply. She did, was interviewed, and now hired!

Big Spring is a large school with 3830 students on eight campuses. She will have a very challenging job, but we are all confident she will do fantastic! Go MOM!

Excellent work! Now we have two directors in the family.

I always knew you could do it and I am so proud of you. Your hard work on the job and at college has paid off.

We have followed God's path many times when others thought we were crazy, yet it always turned out great. Now we return to the desert and it leads to this!

    Thanks to God!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Hope it means a raise too -- I hate when you get promotions without raises. Kudos to you!! Love, Dotti
